Model 24 CT-1

Independent Outlets

For the basics in garden room control the 24-CT-1 might be just what you need. This handy item incorporates two of the more common requirements of a small enclosure. A timed outlet and a thermostatically controlled outlet. This unit is ideal for operating lighting, CO2 equipment, watering systems, fans etc. and provides an economical solution for many greenhouse control needs.

How To Operate

To set the timer, turn the dial to current time of day. The dial face is divided into 15 minute increments. Rotation is clockwise only. To have the timer come on at specific intervals push the black tripper switches toward the center of the dial for the "On" periods desired. The thermostat is used to operate cooling equipment and is sensitive to temperature rise. The internal sensors will allow a 7 degree comfort zone. Set the dial to the maximum temperature that you want in your growing area ( Ideal temperature + 7 degrees ) . When temperature increases to this setting the "Exhaust Equipment Outlet" ( right outlet ) will activate. These outlets operate independently and neither one defeats the other. Operates on 110VAC with 15 Amp switching capacity.

Installation Example

Used independently as shown above this dual function controller will perform two of the most essential requirements of an automated system. Available with remote bulb heating thermostat ( 24-HT-1X ) for propagation bed heating and lighting control. Do not exceed 15 Amp combined power draw.

High Load Example

By using Green Air Products High Amperage Relay ( HAR-1) high voltage or amperage draw equipment can be functioned with the precise accuracy provided by the 24-CT-1

Installation Diagram

In this example the 24 hour clock timer will limit the CO2 cycles to desired hours by defeating the CST-1 timer. The cooling thermostat will function exhaust fan according to temperature fluctuations. External coil or remote bulb sensors are optional.

Calibration Procedure

The internal temperature sensor installed in this controller has been calibrated and should not require further adjustment. The thermostat may be calibrated with trim screw through hole provided on dial face under the set point knob. Avoid undue pressure on trim screw. Adjustments are very slight and 1/8 turn either way is usually adequate. Place thermometer next to controller and let it stabilize to ambient temperature. Unplug fans or CO2 equipment from controller during this procedure. The controller should remain plugged in with switch "on". Outlet light will indicate switch points. Turn thermostat knob to the left until exhaust outlet indicator light comes "on". Slowly turn knob back to the right until light switches back to the equipment outlet side. This point should match the temperature reading on the thermometer. If not, turn knob back to the left, adjust trim screw very slightly and turn knob right again to re-check switch point temperature. When switch point temperature matches that of thermometer calibration is complete. During adjustment, pressure on trim screw will cause incidental switching. This is normal and has no affect on adjustment procedure.

Model CT-DH-2

Independent Outlets

The CT-DH-2 is also designed to turn "On" cooling and dehumidifying equipment to remove excess heat and humidity. However, the CT-DH-2 offers you independent outlets for heating or cooling. The left outlets activate when temperature exceeds your set point. The right outlets activate when humidity exceed your set point. Set your desired temperature and humidity using the dials. Internal sensors will allow a 7�F temperature comfort zone (3�F with an external coil or remote bulb) and a 5% humidity span (differential) between the time the fans activate for cooling or dehumidifying and then turn "Off" again.

The CT-DH-2 operates on 120 Volt AC with 15 Amp maximum switching capacity and is intended for indoor use only. Be sure to locate your atmospheric controller where it will accurately sample and respond to the average air conditions. Good air circulation around the controller and in your garden space is essential. Avoid locating the controller in a draft or in direct sunlight.

This example shows the basic independent function of the CT-DH-2 for the purpose of operating equipment intended to cool and dehumidify.

The CT-DH-2 may be used to operate fans or any other cooling or de-humidifying equipment. Use with the IR-1 to defeat CO2 when exhaust fans are used for cooling. The diagram above shows how to install the CT-DH-2 to operate with CO2 enrichment. When temperature increases above the predetermined setting an exhaust fan is used for cooling purposes. Excess humidity is resolved with a dehumidifier. If a condition arises where both temperature and humidity are high, both the exhaust fan and dehumidifier would run concurrently. One side of the 24 Hour Dual timer could control lighting while the other side schedules the day time cycle of the CST-1 which in turn controls CO2 generation.

Model CT-DH-3

Synchronized Outlets

While the CT-DH-3 has many applications, it was primarily developed for use with CO2 equipment and exhaust/ventilation fans. The left side (or equipment) outlets of the controller are normally "ON" until defeated when the right side outlets are activated. Internal sensors will allow for 7�F temperature zone and a 5% humidity differential between the time that the fans come "ON" and then turn "OFF" again. When temperature or humidity rises above your dial set points, the right outlets will activate and the left outlets will deactivate.The right side outlets will remain �ON� until the temperature drops 7� and/or the humidity drops 5% below your set points. At which time, the right outlets will shut �OFF� and reactivate the left outlets.

OPTIONAL PHOTOSENSOR

The CT-DH-3 is also available with a built in photosensor (CT-DH-3P) to defeat the left outlets during periods of darkness. This optional feature is especially useful when using the controller in conjunction with CO2 enrichment systems.

Exhaust or ventilation fans, cooling or dehumidifying equipment should be plugged into right side outlets. CO2 enrichment systems or other equipment you want to defeat during exhaust cycles, should be plugged into left side outlets

CT-DH-3P (Photo Sensor Option)

The CT-DH-3P is installed for cooling and dehumidifying control. This unit may be used independently or with many other Green Air Products controls to create an integrated system. When the temperature or humidity raise above the predetermined setting, the CT-DH-3P initiates a venting cycle and CO2 generation is momentarily halted. The Cyclestat is used to time the frequency and duration of the CO2 production. In the event of an exhaust cycle the Cyclestat will reset and immediately replenish CO2 enrichment upon completion of the exhaust function. The CT-DH-3P has a built in photo sensor that prevents CO2 operation during darkness periods.

The CO2 generator or emitter system are plugged into the Cyclestat and the Cyclestat is plugged into the left outlets of the CT-DH-3P. The fan is plugged into the right side.

Model CT-DH-4 (P)

Independent Outlets with CO2

The CT-DH-4 and 4P is designed to be used with CO2 equipment, dehumidifiers, and exhaust fans. While it is similar to the CT-DH-3 it has the added feature of independent outlets for temperature and humidity control. It is ideally suited for use with dehumidifiers. Temperature above your set point will activate the right hand outlets and deactivate the bottom left "CO2" outlet. Humidity will activate the top left "Dehumidify" outlet. Internal sensors will allow a 7� temperature comfort zone and a 5% humidity (differential) between the time the equipment comes "On" and goes back "Off" again. Set the temperature and humidity to the desired settings. The CO2 outlet is normally in the "On" position and is able to activate CO2 equipment as needed. An optional photosensor will defeat CO2 enrichment during darkness hours. Intended for indoor use only. The CT-DH-4 operates on 120 Volts AC with 15 Amp max switching capacity.

Installation Example

The CT-DH-4 is installed for cooling and dehumidifying control. This unit may be used independently or with many other Green Air Products controls to create an integrated system. This diagram shows how to install the CT-DH-4 for independent control of exhaust fans for cooling and a dehumidifier for removing unwanted humidity while synchronizing ventilation with CO2 enrichment. When the temperature exceeds the dial set points, the CT-DH-4 initiates a venting cycle and CO2 generation is temporarily defeated. The Cyclestat-4 is used to time the frequency and duration of the CO2 production. In the event of an exhaust cycle the Cyclestat will reset and immediately replenish CO2 enrichment upon completion of the exhaust function. The Cyclestat-4 timer has a built in photo sensor that prevents CO2 operation during darkness periods. If you are using a CO2 timer that does not have a photosensor you can get that option built into as a CT-DH-4P.

The CO2 generator or emitter system is plugged into the Cyclestat and the Cyclestat is plugged into the bottom left CO2 outlet of the CT-DH-4. The dehumidifier is plugged into the top left "dehumidify" outlet. The exhaust fans are plugged into the right outlets.
